Contractor and Visitor Inductions
Not everyone who comes on site needs the same induction. The system handles three levels:
Employee inductions are the full programme: site-specific video, rules, hazard awareness, assessment and certificate. Completed before the first day, tracked for expiry, linked to access control.
Contractor inductions add self-registration and sponsor approval. The contractor receives a link, completes the induction remotely, and their certificate is verified at the gate. Site managers see which contractors are cleared and which are overdue.
Visitor inductions are a shorter version covering essential safety information, emergency procedures and site rules. Visitors complete it on a tablet at reception or in advance via a link from their host. They are included in the emergency roll call for the duration of their visit.

Safety Orientation Course Software
In many industries — particularly oil and gas, chemicals, pharmaceuticals and international operations — the site induction is called a safety orientation course. The content is the same: site-specific hazards, emergency procedures, PPE requirements, permits and rules, delivered before a worker sets foot on site.
Our online induction system delivers safety orientation courses as video-based modules with an assessment and certificate. Whether you call it an induction, orientation or onboarding programme, the platform handles it the same way:
- Site-specific video orientation — professionally filmed content covering your site's hazards, layout, procedures and emergency arrangements
- Assessment and certification — workers must pass the orientation assessment before receiving clearance. Failed attempts are flagged for review
- Multi-language support — orientation courses can be delivered in the worker's language, essential for international workforces
- Contractor and visitor orientation — self-registration, sponsor approval and shorter visitor versions
- Expiry and re-orientation — certificates expire on your schedule and the system triggers automatic re-orientation when site rules change

Induction Content: Video, Documents and Assessments
Every induction is built from your site-specific content. We produce the video professionally — filming on your site with your people, your hazards and your rules — and combine it with documents, interactive elements and an assessment that tests understanding.
Video is the core. Professionally filmed and edited, it shows real site conditions rather than generic stock footage. Inductees watch the full video before answering the assessment questions.
Documents — site maps, permit requirements, PPE guides, emergency procedures — are embedded alongside the video so inductees have everything in one place.
Assessments test understanding with multiple-choice questions drawn from the video content. Pass marks are configurable. Failed attempts can be retried or escalated for review.
Content can be updated at any time. When site rules change, the induction is updated and anyone whose certificate predates the change is flagged for re-induction automatically.
Certificates, Expiry Tracking and Audit Records
Every completed induction generates a record: completion date, assessment score, certificate, expiry date and a link to the version of the induction they completed. The system tracks expiry automatically and sends re-induction reminders before certificates lapse.
Records are exportable for audit at any time — by site, by date range, by contractor company or by individual. This is the evidence inspectors ask for.
Legal context: the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 section 2 places a duty on employers to provide information, instruction and training. The Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999 regulation 13 requires training on recruitment, on change of role and on the introduction of new equipment or technology. An online induction system provides the documented proof that this training has been delivered, understood and is current.
