Where is the studio and is there parking?
The studio is at Berkeley Business Centre, Doncaster Road, Scunthorpe, DN15 7DQ. There is free parking on site. We are ten minutes from M180 junction 3 and under an hour from Hull, Grimsby, Doncaster, Lincoln and Sheffield.
What is included in a half day studio hire?
A half day booking (three hours) includes the studio with green screen, three-camera live mix from the control gallery, autocue, full crew (camera operator, vision mixer, sound), lighting and a basic edit delivered the same day. You just need to bring your presenter and script.
Can we hire the studio without a crew?
We offer the studio as a crewed facility. Our operator runs the cameras, vision mixer and sound from the gallery. If you are an agency or production company bringing your own director, the crew works to your direction. Contact us to discuss your requirements.
How many cameras are there and can you mix live?
The studio has three cameras feeding into a vision mixer in the control gallery. The gallery operator mixes the cameras live, so you get a finished programme recording as well as isolated feeds from each camera. This means less editing time after the shoot.
Do you provide an autocue and can we bring our own script?
Yes, the studio has an autocue. Send us your script in advance and we load it before your session. You can also bring changes on the day. The autocue operator adjusts the speed to match your presenter.
Can we film a podcast with several guests?
Yes. We regularly film podcasts and interview series with two or three guests. Each person has their own microphone, the three cameras cover the group and close-ups, and the gallery mixes live. We deliver full episodes and short clips for social media.
Can you add our slides, branding or a virtual set behind the presenter?
Yes. The vision mixer can key in virtual backgrounds, branded sets, lower-third titles, logos and presentation slides live during filming. Bring your assets on the day or send them in advance and we will set them up before your session.
How quickly do we get the finished video?
Most talking-head and training videos from a half day session are edited and delivered the same day. Longer projects with custom graphics, captions, multiple versions or social media cuts are typically delivered within 48 hours.
What should presenters wear on a green screen?
Avoid green and bright emerald colours — anything close to the green screen will become transparent. Also avoid very fine patterns (thin stripes, herringbone) as they can shimmer on camera. Reflective or shiny fabrics can pick up green spill. Solid, medium-toned colours work best. We recommend bringing two outfit options so you have a backup.
Do you offer studio hire for training and e-learning video?
Yes. We have produced training, induction and safety videos for industrial clients. The green screen allows us to place your presenter in front of site footage, diagrams, slides or a branded virtual classroom. The same team can also host the finished video on our online induction platform if needed.

What to Expect on Shoot Day

Before your session: We discuss your script, set design and any graphics or branding needed. Scripts are loaded onto the autocue and virtual backgrounds are prepared.

On arrival: Your presenter uses the green room to prepare. The crew sets lighting and camera positions for your format. We run a short rehearsal to check framing, sound and autocue speed.

During filming: The gallery mixes three cameras live while the autocue operator follows the presenter. Each take is recorded as a programme mix and as isolated camera feeds, giving the editor full flexibility.

After filming: The in-house edit team cuts and grades the footage. Most talking-head and training videos are delivered the same day. Longer projects with graphics, captions or multiple versions are typically delivered within 48 hours.
